Animals from ‘waders’ meadows have already been moved to their winter homes
Last week, from 27 to 29 November, we transported the Koniks.
From the Trześcianka area, in the Upper Narew Valley, we took 77 Koniks to their wintering sites near Suwałki. A nice herd consisting of a stallion, mares and foals, spent six months on our meadows, with plots on the island and the mainland at their disposal – ensuring river baths.
From the plots near Gródek, we took a total of 59 Koniks from our ‘waders’ areas to the Kalitnik station. Here, they will be fed with hay in bales . The Koniks will stay at the station longer because they will return to the meadows no sooner than July/August.
Currently, in Kalitnik we have 17 this year's foals . It is a cheerful group.
