Summer is in full swing, so we mow, graze...
Summer is in full swing, so we are mowing our meadows to prepare them for the return of the birds in spring. Predator birds are using them for the time being: yesterday, a family of Western marsh harriers, 2 White-tailed eagles and a Common kestrel were foraging in the Gródecko-Michałowska Basin. And a flock of 7 Eurasian Curlews flew away from the meadow! Maybe they will like it though and come back in the spring.
And so, we graze, the koniks and cows are bravely doing their work.
As you can see, we have an abundance of hay, despite the drought this year. It has not affected meadows in the Narew floodplain and those on which we hold water.
